BRYAN

OWNER

Born in Alleyway, Vancouver, Brian was adopted by a lovely family in Whitehorse. Growing up, he attended Logan Lake Elementary and Senior Secondary before receiving a large and eclectic collection of degrees and certifications from Thompson Rivers University and the Justice Institute of BC. However, Brian is most proud of his collection of amazing people who – according to him – love him an unreasonable amount.

At Interior Elite Contracting, Brian upkeeps the safety of the construction sites, cleans up after the crews, and runs intense battles of Dungeons and Dragons. His interactions with his coworkers and clients are the favourite parts of his day. When he’s not succeeding at work, he loves to spend quality time with his favourite people and his beloved pet.

JAMES

OWNER

A Kamloops native, James graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a diploma in computer systems operations and management. He also holds home building certificates. At Elite Contracting, James is an owner and is responsible for providing quotes and managing projects that fall into new construction, additions, and detached outbuildings.

In his spare time, James enjoys snowboarding, gardening, and hiking — and was even invited to the BC summer games for road biking.

BETHANY YOUNG

OWNER

Bethany was born and raised in Kamloops, BC. Upon finishing high school, she chose to stay in the community that she shares such a strong connection with.  As the Events Manager at Nature’s Fare Market for a decade, Beth has a strong vision for growth and is always excited to see projects reach their potential.

As an owner and Operations Manager at Elite Contracting, Beth manages the day to day operations of the company, from personnel issues to engaging with suppliers, contractors, and designers. Collaborating with these partners is definitely Bethany’s favourite part of her role — as a solutions oriented person, she loves ensuring all is in place for a successful outcome.

When not busy raising two young children, Beth keeps close contact with her extended family and friends, enjoys keeping active and works on her own personal projects.

VICTOR

PROJECT MANAGER

An east coaster by birth, Victor hails from the community of Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland where he was very active in the community. He was on the central wrestling team, soccer team, and grew up playing league hockey. He is a graduate of the College of the North Atlantic where he obtained his red seal journeyman welder certificate. Victor has more than 20 years of experience in the home renovation side of carpentry.

A project manager at Elite Contracting, Victor is passionate about cooking, (especially if it involves entertaining for large groups), the outdoors, and being active at the gym.

MURRAY

PROJECT MANAGER

Murray was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and has called Kamloops home ever since he was five years old. He attended school at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. A trained red seal ticketed carpenter, he moved to New Zealand in 2016 and spent time working on earthquake rebuild in the city of Christchurch. He also was the foreman on the largest steel-framed structure in Austral-Asia.

As a project manager at Elite Contracting, Murray works with clients throughout all stages of the project to ensure that they are receiving the house of their dreams. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, participating in high alpine hiking treks, and practicing his own very special talent—cooking minute rice in only 58 seconds.

MIKE

PROJECT MANAGER

Growing up in Kamloops, BC, Mike is a Kam High alumnus. A trained Red Seal Carpenter, Mike works as a Project Manager for Interior Elite Contracting. He’s particularly passionate about working closely with crew members, problem solving, and building relationships with homeowners.

An avid athlete, Mike grew up pole vaulting and participating in decathlons: a two-day athletic event involving 100-meter dash, long jump, javelin, discus, hurdles, and more. When he’s not busy at work, Mike enjoys hiking, backpacking, and going out and about with his two boys.

TRACIE

ADMINISTRATION/BOOKKEEPER

Born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Tracie has been a resident of British Columbia since 1997. Tracie is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, having received this designation from Alive Academy online. She is responsible for administrative tasks at Elite Contracting, as well as bookkeeping.

Tracie thrives off of the fast-paced environment that comes with working for a growing business, and enjoys tackling a wide variety of tasks. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, camping, watching her kids sporting events and attending Seattle Seahawks games with her husband.

SHALENA

BOOKKEEPER

Shalena was born in Penticton and moved to Kamloops shortly after. She grew up around stock cars, drag boats, motorbikes and snowmobiles before her parents decided to slow things down and get heavily involved with Draft Horses and saddle horses. This new life involved sleigh rides at Lac le Jeune Resort, draft horse driving competitions, cart and halter classes. For 15 years their family and close friends planned and organized their own 7-10 day horse-drawn wagon and outrider trail rides as their summer holiday. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in General Biology from Thompson Rivers University.

Shalena handles the bookkeeping at Elite Contracting, numbers are her thing and she thrives in an organized environment. In her down time she enjoys the company of her 14 chickens, dog, cat and horse. She also enjoys doing many outdoor activities with her kids like camping, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and horseback riding.

MEGAN

RECEPTIONIST

Originally born in Edmonton, Alberta, Megan moved to Kamloops when she was 10 years old. She attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) before joining the team at Interior Elite Contracting. She quickly moved from Receptionist to Design Coordinator, where her responsibilities are vast: from organizing photography of completed jobs, new builds, and renovations to creating and updating task binders, receiving orders, interacting with clients, updating the showroom, and managing social media, Megan is the organizational task force behind Interior Elite.

She loves interacting with her coworkers and building relationships with clients. But her favourite part of the job is overseeing the progression of the home builds and photographing the journey. Outside of work, Megan is a talented baker and a published poet. She loves to spend time outdoors, whether it’s with her friends and family or her adorable dog.

KRISTY

JUNIOR DESIGNER

Born in Kent, England, Kirsty made the move to Canada when she was just 10 years old. After completing a 3-year Architectural Engineering and Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, Kirsty joined Interior Elite Contracting as a Junior Designer. She loves using her creativity in a professional setting and lends to Interior Elite’s family-oriented, positive work environment.

Growing up, Kirsty was a competitive figure skater and a talented hobby artist. An avid sketcher, she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t taking pencil to paper and decided to venture into painting 13 years ago. In her downtime, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her family, going for hikes and walks throughout Kamloops, or grabbing a coffee and heading to the dog park with her 3-year-old border collie, Faedra.

Kirsty will be going on Maternity Leave at the end of July and will be returning to us in a year’s time.

AMANDA

INTERIOR DESIGNER

A native of Kamloops, Amanda holds a diploma in Interior Design focused in both commercial and residential design from the Centre for Art and Technology (CAT) in Kelowna, BC. She is an intern member with IDIBC with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. She has a background in Project Coordinating and Construction Management as well as experience serving as an instructor for AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup (she was requested to come back and teach upon completion of her Interior Design program).

Amanda currently serves as Elite Contactings Interior Designer, and is passionate about helping clients to visualize their projects through 3D modeling. She loves working with clients to pick out specific finishes and fixtures, and thrives off of seeing everything come together. Amanda is particularly passionate about lighting and glass, and loves to experiment with ways to see them used in interior spaces.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys dancing, gardening and playing with her two Pomskys. She also loves spending time with her friends, family and fiance.

KEVIN

SENIOR DESIGNER

Born in Ingersoll, Ontario, Kevin has been a proud BC resident for over 28 years. In addition to receiving his Level 2 Coaching Certificate for hockey, Kevin attended the Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology. With 10 years of construction experience and even more working with architectural and engineering firms, Kevin’s work experience has allowed him to create practical and solid designs that are tailored to each client.

Kevin works as a Senior Designer and Architectural Drafter for Interior Elite Contracting, where he finds joy in creating peoples’ dream homes. When he’s not busy designing structures, Kevin spends his time outdoors either canoeing, sledding, or snowshoeing at the Lake Cabin.

SIOBHANN

SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR

Siobhann grew up in Kamloops, attending South Kamloops Secondary. She attended Thompson Rivers University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Microbiology. She is also a certified safety trainer and is currently working towards becoming a National Construction Safety Officer.

Siobhann ensures the safety and wellbeing of her coworkers in her current role as safety administrator with Interior Elite. Prior to working with Elite, Siobhann was a Master Grower for a large outdoor cannabis cultivator. In this role, she developed an entirely regenerative organic feeding program which was the first of its kind in Western Canada. While this was an exciting opportunity, Siobhann is excited to return to work with the Elite Contracting team and looks forward to strengthening the company’s existing safety program.

When not at work, Siobhann and her Australian Shepherd, Treker, compete in agility trials. Throughout the year, Siobhann enjoys hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and camping with her partner and two dogs. In the wintertime, she is an avid curler and snowshoer.
